The Position
The Own Retail Activation Manager is responsible for leading the planning, coordination and execution of in‑store activations across all Miele Experience Centers in the Nordics (DK-FI-NO-SE). You will ensure that each store consistently delivers a premium, brand‑aligned customer experience while supporting the overarching Direct‑to‑Consumer (D2C) strategy. A strong omnichannel mindset is essential, as this position directly contributes to creating a seamless consumer journey across both physical and digital touchpoints.
As a key member of the D2C Sales team, the role requires close daily collaboration with various stakeholders, e.g. in Sales, Marketing, Digital, and Operations. You act as a central connection point, ensuring that in‑store initiatives are aligned with commercial objectives, marketing priorities and global brand direction. The position navigates both strategic and operational responsibilities and plays a critical role in integrating store activation activities into the broader D2C roadmap.
This is a hands‑on role that requires the ability to manage day‑to‑day execution while also thinking ahead to long‑term solutions and sustainable processes. The ideal candidate combines operational precision with creativity, developing strong local activation ideas and market‑relevant initiatives, while maintaining strict adherence to global guidelines and standards.
Balancing between local relevance and global consistency, with a clear understanding of premium retail, is a core expectation for this position.
Key Responsibilities
· Responsible for designing and delivering a premium shopping journey that inspires customers and exceeds their expectations.
· Lead the execution of in‑store premium experiences, including event concepts, operational coordination, and performance tracking.
· Oversee visual merchandising standards and ensure consistent monitoring of quality and effectiveness.
· Manage the in‑store and window activation calendar in collaboration with the D2C team.
· Coordinate the planning and execution of new store openings.
· Act as the primary contact for store teams regarding activation‑related topics.
· Analyse underperformance and implement corrective action plans.
· Establish and maintain partnerships with landlords and local stakeholders to support traffic‑driving initiatives.
· Ensure that all store activations support a seamless consumer experience across both online and offline channels.
· Collaborate with digital, CRM, and marketing teams to integrate in‑store activities with broader D2C initiatives.
· Contribute to strengthening the unified brand presence across all D2C touchpoints
Your Experience and Competencies
· 3–5 years of experience in Retail, Service, Hospitality, or Event Management.
· Strong understanding of premium retail or luxury customer experience principles.
· Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with sales, marketing, digital, and operational teams.
· Excellent communication, planning, and analytical skills.
· Ability to balance day‑to‑day execution with long‑term strategic thinking.
· Creativity in developing local activation ideas while adhering to global guidelines.
· High level of flexibility and attention to detail.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP or similar systems is an advantage.
· Strong omnichannel mindset with the ability to connect physical retail activity to broader D2C objectives.
